Branson is really a small town surrounded by about 4-5 smaller yet villages. To the NE is Forsyth to the SW is Hollister (the largest) and to the sw Kimberling City and to the NW is Branson West. All told they may have a combined population of about 10,000.
With such a small community you would wonder how they can provide services to the APRX 8,000,000 yes millions of visitors. They do very very well by utilizing the Seniors and by bringing in folks from farther away.
The Hotels Branson Missouri number about 10 and they are very nice and well kept. You will find the service personal are very very gracious and helpful. You will also find amenities that you will not find at most motels such as swimming pools/courtesy vans/spas/shops etc.

All the others are along Country Music Blvd or better known as the strip. They are actually closer to the show attractions. They all can handle larger groups and will help with any outside entertainment packages you may desire.
